Just an idea of what you can do with a little effort and a radio that needs some T.L.C.
This radio in poor shape from an eBay find...
was the beginnings of a super nice radio when I got done! Although missing pieces it had potential and I saw it completed in my minds eye.
You can take this...
A few weeks later this little orphan showed up also on eBay...
and gave me a good cabinet to work with which also had a missing piece but it was in far better shape than the first set! I knew it could be rebuilt and that the two would soon become one!
Add this empty but intact cabinet missing the front bottom edge bar...
And with patience, a little wood glue and some refinishing handywork...
turn these two forgotten relics into a working beautiful addition to your collection! It took about 10 hours time total and the results will last for years to come. Never think anything is too far gone to be restored. One man's junk is always another man's treasure!
And get this cute little honey of a radio!
If you have before and after shots of any of your favorite sets with a description of how you did the work, send them to me at my e-mail and I'll post them here for all to see.
